Interrupted or aborted cycle?

The manual distinguishes a pause from an abort: a corrected interruption may resume, while an aborted processing cycle requires reprocessing. It describes automatic restart after power restoration. Confirm completed processing before releasing the scope. See p. 67.

Important distinctions

Disabled monitoring: these entries describe disabled functions, not a confirmed failed sensor. As a precaution, have unexpected configuration notices reviewed by qualified service before clinical use. Never disable monitoring to clear a fault. Optional leak-test availability must be checked for the installed unit.

Disinfectant: test the minimum required concentration (MRC) before each reprocessing cycle using the specified strips. Replace solution below MRC and comply with the disinfectant’s use limits. Temperature and contact time depend on the applicable disinfectant instructions. See p. 8.

Pressure: this guide deliberately does not instruct operators to adjust regulators. The manual identifies factory presets and directs users to technical support. See p. 7.

Source differences that affect troubleshooting

Dis Expired: page 88 describes checking potency and replacement “if necessary”; page 92 says the maximum count prevents further cycles before solution replacement. This guide uses the more conservative replacement direction and refers count-setting questions to service.

Sheath Fail: page 64 distinguishes initial failure (abort) from a small leak detected during processing. Page 90’s troubleshooting table gives broader continuation wording. This guide does not turn that into a blanket instruction to continue processing a leaking scope. Obtain model-specific guidance and follow the endoscope manufacturer’s failed-leak-test instructions.
