Same machine, four names on the paperwork. Medivators built it. Minntech owned Medivators. Cantel Medical absorbed Minntech, and STERIS bought Cantel in 2021. The logo changed hands; the machine never did. Medivator, Cantel, or STERIS on the Label: The Part Numbers Don't Change

Half the calls we take start with "my Medivator" — singular, no S. That's fine. Medivator, Medivators, Cantel, STERIS: Whatever badge is on your front panel, the part numbers underneath are identical. A unit labeled Cantel takes the same kits and filters as one labeled Medivators. Order by OEM part number, and the badge era is irrelevant.

DSD-201 Filters by Micron Rating: Which Filter Goes Where

The DSD-201 endoscope reprocessor filters at four points: the air line, the disinfectant line, and a two-stage incoming water line. Order the wrong filter and it either won't fit or won't protect the line it's on. Air Filter Assembly and Disinfectant Filter Assembly (0.2 Micron and 65 Micron)

Two canister assemblies, easy to confuse until you learn the color code. The Air Filter Assembly, OEM #MF01-0028, protects the air compressor line: 0.2 micron, blue inlet, and white outlet. Its 65-micron counterpart on the disinfectant line is OEM #MF01-0011: red inlet, grey outlet. Catalog pages skip the colors, but they're the at-a-glance tell when you're standing at the machine. Blue and white air. Red and grey disinfectant.

Water Line Prefilters: The 1 Micron Prefilter and 0.45 Micron Absolute Prefilter Cartridge

Incoming water gets cleaned in stages before it ever reaches a basin. Stage one is the 1-micron Prefilter, OEM #MF01-0014 — the coarse element that catches sediment and particulate. Stage two is the 0.45 micron absolute cartridge, OEM #MF01-0015, which polishes what stage one lets through. The order matters. The cheap coarse element takes the abuse so the finer cartridge lasts its full life. Neglect the first stage and you'll burn through #MF01-0015 cartridges faster than your budget likes.

Two classic wear items here. The Disinfectant Pump #78400-689 runs on 115 VAC, 60 Hz, and when it quits, cycles stop; high-volume departments keep a spare on the shelf. The Peristaltic Pump Tubing Set #MT010-0500 is the other because peristaltic tubing fatigues on schedule no matter how gently the machine runs.
